Conflict Management Trainer

Duration: 2 Days

Entry Requirements: Learners must be aged 18+ to undertake this qualification. Also learners are required to have obtained a training qualification, for example, preparing to teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector Level 3 or Level 4.

The Level 3 Award in the qualification is best suited to those looking to deliver scenario-based conflict management training. The Delivery of Conflict Management qualification is suited and used in a wide range of sectors with its main benefits coming to those with customer facing roles. The qualification also meets the requirements of the Security Industry Authority.

    Covered on the course
  • Unit 1: Managing conflict in the workplace when dealing with Customers, Service Users or the Public
  • Unit 2: Delivering Scenario-based conflict management training

How the course is assessed

Unit 1
Assessed by a 30-question multiple-choice examination. Learners must achieve a score of at least 20 out of 30 in order to pass.
Unit 2
Assessed by a portfolio of evidence. This portfolio will be given to each learner prior to the start of the course and will be added to through the duration of the course.
Physical Intervention Trainer

Duration: 3 Days

Entry Requirements: Learners must be aged 18+ to undertake this qualification.

The Level 3 Award for Deliverers of Physical Intervention Training is the qualification needed for trainers looking to deliver physical intervention for the Private security industry.

    What is covered on the course
  • Unit 1: This covers the knowledge and skills that the learner will need to be able to train those wishing to work in the private security industry
  • Unit 2: This will provide the learner with the skills to teach and assess the practical skills safely

How the course is assessed

Unit 1
This covers the knowledge and skills that the learner will need to be able to train those wishing to work in the private security industry. This unit is assessed by a practical assessment throughout the course by the tutor and a true or false questionnaire marked by the course tutor.
Unit 2
This will provide the learner with the skills to teach and assess the practical skills safely. This unit is assessed by a portfolio of evidence.

    Course entry requirements
    Learners are required to have:
  • a suitable teaching/training qualification (Level 3 PTLLS or above)
  • a suitable level 3 qualification in training conflict management at NQF/QCF Level 3
Level 3 and 4 Award in Education and Training

Duration: 4 Days

Entry Requirements: Learners must be aged 19+ to undertake this qualification.

Security Trainer Package

The Security Trainer package is a combination of 3 courses and has been put together to enable those candidates seeking to work as a trainer within the security sector all the necessary qualifications and expertise to meet all the needed requirements.
