Bill Croft
 

Bill Croft - Managing Director

Bill is a leading security expert who has directed a Security, Training and Quality Consultancy for the past 15 years, with over 40 years’ experience of policing, security, event management and education; holding positions such as the Head of West Midlands Police Crime Reduction department as well as Detective Chief Inspector at the Home Office Crime Reduction College as external consultant to UK Police Forces and corporate bodies. He was the Home Office advisor to a number of organizations including the Suzy Lamplugh Trust, the Home Office Crime Pattern Analysis Working Group, BOSS (British Oil & Petrol Security), ACPO Drugs Partnership Working Group, and the British Standards Committee.

Bill is a Fellow of the Security Institute, a Member of the Association of Security Consultants, and a Knight of the Order of St Michael. He is the author of a recently published book by Heinemann Press on the subject of Spectator Safety.

Skills and Experience

Bill has also written a number of articles and qualifications in Personal Safety at Work, Terrorism Awareness, CCTV, Event Stewarding/Spectator Control, and Accredited Persons and has been involved in working parties developing security related qualifications at Skills for Security. Bill has been a guest speaker on a number of occasions, including New Buckingham University on the Foundation Degree Course for Event Management.

Bill is an experienced National Awarding Body External Standards Verifier, International External Verifier and Chief Verifier for a number of security and criminal justice qualifications.

Bill is a consultant to a number of security, event companies as well as training providers, actively involved in quality and business development including advice regarding future planning, approval with awarding bodies, ISO9001 Quality Assurance, National Security Inspectorate and SIA Approved Contractor criteria.

As a security consultant Bill is actively involved in carrying out regular audits in relation to security systems , equipment and procedures as well as guidance on Health and Safety, including contingency and evacuation planning, terrorism awareness and the planning and implementation of exercises in respect of these issues.

Iwona Croft - Operations Manager

Iwona Croft is Bill’s Daughter in Law. Originally from Poland, Iwona has experience within multiple types of business. Formally Fraud Investigator for one of the UK’s leading banks, training and development manager and now an Office Manager for Bill Croft and Associates making sure all is run smoothly. Iwona is certified First Aider and ISO 9001:2008 Internal Auditor.
